Darren Comedy
Founder/Principal
Darren is the founding principal of DC Design Group with over 28 years of experience in various cross-functional positions, including architectural design, interior design, space planning, and construction management. A highly energetic, goal-oriented and strategically thinking management executive leader who thrives in a fast paced, innovative and results driven culture. Extremely well-organized, detail-oriented and customer service focused – a veteran who has provided oversight and management of government (inclusive of military facilities), commercial, residential, hospitality, worship centers, mixed-use and office development projects of up to 300M as well as managing a staff of over 60 professional design staff and consultants.
Tanya Comedy
Chief Operating Officer
Tanya has a Bachelor of Business Management degree from Penn State University with over 15 years of professional corporate management experience. She is recognized as a catalyst for collaboration and driving change. Her successful work history consists of Director of Sales & Operation for Nationwide Insurance, Central Penn Business Journal 2015 Women of Influence Award, Board President of Central Penn Food Bank, and United Way of the Capital Region Women’s Leadership Network.
Stryker Sessions, RA
Principal Architect
Stryker, is the senior registered architect on staff who serves as the principal architect for the firm. Stryker has over 30 years of architectural design experience in all facets of architectural design with a primary focus on urban design and development. He has won numerous awards and accolades for his design throughout the years, and has designed well over 500 projects varying in scale from mixed-use development, office design and residential communities’ projects, to large multi-tower commercial developments.
Audrey Hinton
Business Development
Audrey is the Business Development specialist with more than 35 years of combined information technology and program management experience in both government and commercial organizations. She is a former Chief Information Officer for the DC Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs and Business Development advisor for CGH Technologies, Inc. Audrey has received numerous awards for her public and community outreach services.
Jon Sullenberger, RA
Associate
Jon is an associate registered architect; whose primary responsibility is the oversight of the construction documents. He has over 20 years of architectural design experience in urban architecture with a primary focus on residential design. Jon is also LEED accredited, and has designed and managed several LEED design and construction projects.
Jasmine Comedy
PM/Interior Designer
Jasmine received her Bachelor of Applied Sciences degree from Marymount University with a major in Interior Design. She interned at HOK Design, the largest U.S.-based architecture-engineering firm and the fourth-largest American worldwide design, architecture, engineering and urban planning interior design firm. Her 5+ years of experience in institutional, commercial and residential renovations, additions and new builds has been independent designs, blueprint and plan reviews, permit expediter, project manager and interior designer with firms in the Washington metropolitan area. Including MGMA Architecture, Interior Design and Planning in Great Falls, VA and Perception Interiors by J Allen in Washington, DC.
Alexis Gentry
Project Architect
Alexis compliments our team as our lead Project Architect. She has extensive experience in the design of both residential, commercial and mixed-use development projects. Alexis previously worked for Perkins Eastmans Architects prior to joining our firm. She is a graduate from Drexel University with a degree in Architecture.
Joelle Comedy
Project Coordinator
Joelle is our team’s project coordinator. She is responsible for the support in the concept design through construction documents production. She supports both sides of our firm in the business development of proposals and marketing as well as updates to our website. She also produces videos of our construction projects from the initial groundbreaking to the ribbon cutting ceremonies. Joelle has a bachelor’s degree in mass marketing from Temple University.
Maurice Gentry
Construction Manager
Maurice aka “Mo” is our construction manager. Mo oversees the construction of all our projects, both residential and commercial. Mo has over 3 years of experience in both construction administration and management. Mo recently graduated from the University of Tampa with a degree in Business Administration.
